I hope you enjoy reading through these poems. I write them on the spot as inspiration hits me. Occasionally I will post a few old poems of mine as well. Please comment!

Discovery

Searching in uncharted places
for things that you don't even know
Trying to find all the answers
to questions you can't even own
Running away from your own self
casting a spell of shame
Trying to find who you really are
all while trying to hide from the blame
Living from moment to moment
knowing the moment might end
Finding a love in the darkness
finding the light again
Knowing you're more than you're thinking
but feeling much less than you are
Looking for each new horizon
and riding on each night's new star
You could make an end to your journey
you could stop all the fear and the strife
but if you end it all now at it's hardest
you lose the meaning and beauty of life

A Poem About You

You're a bright ray of light in the darkness of night,
You turn dull boring days into dreams,
You melt away sadness with the lightest of touches,
at least that's the way that it seems.

I have yet to see you in a negative state,
though the world around us is bleak,
I wish I could make a place in your heart,
for me; a place I could keep.

And keep it I would; keep it safe, keep it warm,
I would keep it filled up with my love,
The love of a friend, the love of a soul,
who believes in peace and in love.

And together we can spread that love to the world,
and stop that desire to fight,
and if you know that this poem is all about you,
well then, you know... you're probably right.

Candle Light

Flicker, flicker, flicker,
most perfect candle light,
you beckon me in daytime,
you guide me through the night,
your scents float carelessly closer,
my breathing takes you in,
flicker, flicker, candle
until you end and I begin.
